In short, Meridix EventReporter automatically collects scores and results submissions from your coaches, staff, and other authorized reporters. Event report notifications automatically appear on the desktops of coaches and staff, without requiring them to remember to login and report their scores. Involving many potential reporters in the process decreases the time it takes to collect scores, and minimizes the work for any given person.

Team administrator or manager signs the team/organization up for a LiveID. A LiveID is the account on our network where you will configure your teams and trusted reporters. A LiveID can represent one single organization with one team (for example, a minor league baseball team) or it can represent an organization containing many teams (for example, Naperville Central High School).

Step 2

After your LiveID has been created, you can login and configure your teams and schedules. These schedules are what Meridix EventReporter will base its notifications, alerts, and submissions on.

Step 3

Now, your trusted reporters (your coaches, assistants, staff, anyone else who is authorized to report on behalf of each team) should obtain a free MeridixID identity here. Whereas a LiveID represents your organization, a MeridixID represents individuals authorized to report.

Step 4

Once your trusted reporters have obtained their MeridixIDs, you can attach these individuals to their respective teams by logging into your LiveID. Teams select one or more "trusted reporters", who are individuals allowed to officially report on behalf of a team.  For example, a football team might want to set the head coach and his/her four assistant coaches (5 total people) as trusted reporters.

Because teams set their own trusted reporters, they control who reports for them.  Equally, trusted reporters can rely on the system to push them the correct event reports, and do not have to keep track of the events they are responsible for.  A single individual (MeridixID) can also report on behalf of more than one team.

Step 5

Trusted reporters download and install the Meridix EventReporter on as many computers as they wish.  The utility can be installed on home computers, office computers, laptops, or anywhere else a trusted reporter might want access to the system.

When installing for the first time, trusted reporters simply sign in with their credentials, which are then saved by the program for all future sessions.  This way, trusted reporters do not have to login each time they turn on their computer - the system will connect you automatically.

Step 6

Notifications will automatically appear and disappear based on the schedule for the team and the actions of the other reporters.  Remember, only one trusted reporter from each team needs to officially submit or certify the score or event result, eliminating redundancy.

You can also close any event reminders for later reporting by clicking on the "Ask Me Later" button.   Other program settings are also customizable, including the intervals between reminders, display settings for the summary screen, and other settings.

Step 7

As trusted reporters report and certify events on behalf of their respective teams, our network automatically updates results pages, posts scores, updates tickers, and sends out text message alerts to fans.  In this manner, fans, parents, administrators, staff, and the media are immediately connected with the latest information, all without any extra user intervention.  No need to manually update results pages.
