Luck is the best QB I have seen in the College Ranks translating to the next level.. Mallett showed some good things on Saturday as well..

Of Course, Col-Pul will argue Moore is..

Actually, I think Mallett lost some stock. I was thinking he’s be the best NFL QB from this year’s choices but after Saturday not so much. He sure has lead feet and bad balance, his footwork reminds me of Leaf and attitude aside, not at all saying Mallett has that in common, Leaf's footwork and balance are what made him an NFL no-go.

Moore sure didn't hurt his stock. Tell me again which throws he can't make? Did I see a deep out thrown with some smoke coming off on a pretty flat trajectory... 2/3 on balls thrown over 40 yards... Moving well against the best D-line in the PAC10 and one of the best outside Alabama and Florida... But as we've been told, he'll flop at DI and be lucky to even ride the bench and keep his scholarship at Boise. If the kid can't make a half arsed college QB how's he ever going to make it in the NFL?

Moore isn't D1 material.... too small.... from a small school.... doesn't have the arm.... too slow..... he'll be overwhelmed.

He's kidding himself if he thinks WSU will take him.

With that said.....

No way he's an NFLer...... from a small college..... too small.... too slow..... weak competition...... he'll be overwhelmed.

He's kidding himself if he thinks an NFL team will take him.

Subtle. I guess "PUPPY ELECTROCUTOR NAMED STARTING QUARTERBACK" wouldn't fit.
(Although note the not-at-all-accidental use of the word "shocking" in the subhead.)

Them Philadelphians are a riot.

I know there are some Vick fans and some Vick haters out there. I feel like he did his time and deserves his chance but would not want him in Seattle.

From what I'm hearing he is playing better than ever, I wonder how Kolb feels about this?

Vick did his time. Bring him to Seattle, he's playing better than what we now have rostered...

I knew you would bite Col-Pul..

To say Mallett lost stock is something after throwing for over 300 yards and showing enough mobility for a bigger quarterback plenty of times to only throw a 20 yard dart to a crossing WR with a lineman in his face...

Oh Mallett has the arm, no question there and the accuracy to boot. He also has enough mobility for college ball, even the SEC but I'm just saying he looked an awful lot like Leaf use to, physically again I don't mean in any way to compare him in terms of maturity or mental stability. Comparing halves the second half against pressure he didn't look like an all american. Ya, 'bama's D will do that too a lot of QBs, not all but the vast majority.

BTW, you want to compare the two? Arkansas I think beats Alabama if they swap QBs with Boise.

Mallett threw two picks when given the opportunity to play like a champion.

You have to love Alabama.... Even though they were down, they stayed confident within themselves, took what the defense gave them, and won that football game. It was almost like Saban knew Mallett would fall apart at the end of the game.

Not a Saban or Alabama fan. Saban made some comments about Boise not belonging in the BCS championship hunt a little while back.

I think that blowout loss to Utah in the Sugar Bowl a couple years ago hurt his huge over inflated ego a little more than what he let on.

If'n I were Alabama I'd not want to be matched against BSU in a championship bowl either... Just saying when 'bama played coverage Mallet ate them up, in the second when they went with pressure they ate up Mallet. Moore won't wilt under pressure, he eats up pressure. BSU's O-line is better than Arkansas, BSU's receivers from RBs to TEs to WRs are better than the Hogs and the Bronco's defense is better than Arkansas'. I think 'bama would and should be favored but BSU match up better than most people think. I think BSU matches up a whole WHOLE lot better to the Tide than Ohio St..

Boise could and will beat any team they face in their bowl game....

With that said, I'm a BIG power conference guy, and I don't think an undefeated Boise team should take away a spot from an undefeated power conference team.

For instance, if Bama, Stanford, and Boise go undefeated, who goes to the National Championship?

Now, I can see if there is no undefeated teams left, then sure, Boise should get the nod.

I predict:

Oregon/Stanford vs. Alabama in National Championship
Boise vs. Michigan/Ohio State in Rose Bowl.

I'm a big Boise fan but with CP on their bandwagon I must, in good conscience, take the other side...

Michigan Honch?

Week Date Opponent Result Record
1 Sat., Sep 4 Connecticut W 30-10 1-0
2 Sat., Sep 11 @Notre Dame W 28-24 2-0
3 Sat., Sep 18 Massachusetts W 42-37 3-0
4 Sat., Sep 25 Bowling Green W 65-21 4-0

At one point they were up 21-14 to Bowling Green and they barely beat Umass.

I see at least three losses on their schedule.

I agree with your other teams.

Understandable.... but the REAL Heisman Trophy winner is the Michigan QB.

The Big 10 is weak.

The only game they may lose is to Ohio State.... which who knows?

What I was trying to say is that Boise may be playing in the Rose Bowl versus the Big 10 Champion. I'm doubting even if Ohio State or Michigan go 13-0 (because of Big 10 Championship), they will take the spot from a 12-0 Stanford or Oregon team due to strenge of schedule.

Boise has no chance playing in the NC if more than 1 other team is 12-0.

The more the top tier teams drop (OSU and VT), it hurts BSU's chances of playing in the Title Game period..

But I still think VT ends up second in conference play and OSU takes second or first in the PAC10,(or 3rd but that won’t count because USC’s finish won’t count). I believe by the end of the season both will be in the top 20. Nevada needs to go undefeated before and after the Boise game. They do that after running wild on Cal and Cal finishes in the top half of the PAC10 that will help Boise. Also Fresno St. is looking good and if they continue to play well and finish say 9-3 they will add a little to strength of schedule.

I'll say that Boise's schedule is a lot tougher than Nebraska's and there's a lot of talk about them making the BCS championship bowl.

That said, Ohio St., who will go undefeated, will end up playing the SEC champion (either Florida or Alabama with South Carolina the dark horse) even if the SEC champion has one loss (except if South Carolina win the SEC with a loss then it’s likely OSU vs. Nebraska).

Now I think Boise matches up well with Alabama and Ohio St. and would win say 4 or maybe 3 out of 10. But here's the deal; they only play once and Boise has this way of making it happen. But I agree they won't get the chance.
