"BTW - Still not sold on Okung"--Honch

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaulINtfn8o

I'm not saying Okung is there yet. But watch Justin Forsett's 2nd quarter TD run in this video. Watch what Okung does to future HOFer Brian Urlacher. He just destroys him and drives him 6 yards back into the end zone. That is blocking with strength and nastiness. I'm not going to say it was like Walter Jones, but it was Walter Jones-ish.

Flyin Bull,

You look real good as an Adna Pirate. I know you want to keep that avatar but PB will most likely want it back so don't get too attached.

Heavy Duty, Honch, Col-Pul, etc.

 "4-12 at best isn't enough for me.---Honch"

So next week, when the Hawks are 4-2 (tied for the 2nd best record in the whole league) and sitting alone on top of the NFC West,  which of you will admit that you were wrong?

I will admit that the Seahawks are a better team than I thought they would be at this point in time. I may even start to think of taking a sip of the Kool Aid that we hear so much about. BUT with that said you can't really believe the NFC West Division champ will make any kind of noise in the playoffs.

The only quality win the Hawks have this season was last week against Flyin' Bull's (the guy with Pirate Ball's Avatar) Bears. One would have thought the San Diego victory would have been good but it appears that Norv Turner has finally made his mark on that team. And finally, the win versus San Francisco, who we all knew were bad albeit not this bad. The Hawks may grab another victory this week against the dreaded Arizona Cardinals (what's their QB's name again???) but I would be hard pressed again to call that a significant victory. True the Hawks don't set up their own schedule and can only hope to beat the teams they face but come on man, they just aren't a very good team.

Heavy...while I don't think the Hawks will win it all any win in the NFL is a good win...quality opponent or not.

I would agree with you Heavy, but if they win their division, I don't have to tell you where the 1st playoff will be held. You have been to Quest many times (so have I) so I don't have to tell you how loud that place is during a playoff game. You said "making noise in the playoffs". I think you are right on with that phrase. The Hawks can beat anyone (and I mean anyone) at home in the playoffs. Especially a wild card team. Quest is the biggest home field advantage right now in the NFL.

it's not how you start, it's how u finish.  and, defense wins championships.  if the "D" plays like that from now on, lookout.  they looked more like the Jets or Steelers than the usual "D" were used to watching.

The 'D' won't play like that from now on...although the win came against my Bears, the Mike Martz offense contributed big time to the Seahawks being in a position to do what they did; very little protection, a crappy offensive line, lots of deep, downfield routes and a quarterback that holds onto the ball way, way too long.

Well the Bears have weakness and I don't think with their O-line in pass protection and an inconsistent Cutler at QB ANY offense would be putting up a lot of points. Martz's offense worked well enough at the Rams, then again the Rams had Warner and Co. and a darn good line..

The Hawks are a WHOLE lot better than I thought they'd be. I was wr.....werrrrrr.... wrrrrroou-on..... I was mistaken. They are an average team that plays hard. We'll have to see how the NFC shakes out, if it keeps being what it's been the first 1/3 of the season then average might be a head above the average. The Hawks may just win the West. The Hawks do play better at home. However, IF the NFC usual suspects pull it together the wild card team could be a great team. I'm not sure the Hawks beat Philly, The Football Giants, the Vikes if they start clicking,… even at home. But, playoffs start and everyone’s 0-0 and who knows. But before we start worrying about playoff games there’s business to take care of. The Rams look actually pretty good, the Cards could get good if they get healthy and the 49ers might stop killing themselves and make a push. Just saying, the last half of a season usually looks quite a bit different than the first half with teams fading from their peak and others starting to play down hill. Lets hope the Hawks are the latter because as one analyst pointed out a couple games ago, if you’re game plan is emotion and rah rah it’s hard for that to sustain you through a whole 16 game season with the NFL week in week out grind.

I was one of the pessimistic ones here at the start of the season, now I’m cautiously hopeful, the Hawks keep improving and come game 10 or 11 and their above .500 I might even become optimistic.

BTW FBC, I think you're supposed to type like; "Arrrr matie, avast where's me Cabin Boy. I need me timber shivered!"

Undrafted starting Cardnals QB Max Hall is in big trouble....

Rookie Qwest. The Cardinals' Max Hall becomes the fifth rookie quarterback to start a game against Seattle at Qwest Field. The previous four -- Josh Freeman (2009), Matthew Stafford (2009), Troy Smith (2007) and Alex Smith (2005) -- posted a 1-3 record and combined 57.7 passer rating. Freeman was most impressive, completing 16 of 26 passes for 205 yards, two touchdowns and a 95.8 rating during a 24-7 Bucs victory. Stafford tossed five picks. The two Smiths, Troy and Alex, led offenses that combined for nine points.

Seahwks move to 4-2 this week. In great position for the playoffs.

I don't know if I can turn away from the Steeler and Dolphins game though.

3 lead changes in the last couple minutes.
