I agree to an extent. I have a feeling a team or two is going to throw some big money at Matt. Do you sell the farm to keep him?

There are better "less brittle" options available for less money
than Ouchmyback will command JMHO.

You will see PG. How many QB starved teams are there in the leauge right now that Matt would be a huge upgrade over what they have? A lot of them who want to win now and will be going hard after Hasselbeck. Arizona and the 9ers come to mind right off the bat.

Here is a list of teams that could use a QB:

Buffalo – In need of a QB, Will draft one
Miami – In definite need. Could go after Hassellbeck. Won’t pay big dollars
Jacksonville – Could use an upgrade but don’t know if Matty is that.
Tennessee – Fisher likes veterans so he could end up here. Have Chris Simms on the bench.
Washington – In need
Minnesota – In need of one
Carolina -  Veteran could be in need
Arizona – Who knows
San Fran – In the air
Seattle – In the air

Of this list he is an upgrade over:

Buffalo, Tennessee, Washington, Minnesota, and Carolina

I saw in your earlier post that Peyton Manning is an UFA. The Hawks should go after him!

Indy has already stated that Manning will be the highest paid NFL player..  He is Indy..  When it is all said and done, I think he will be the best QB to ever play..

On stats he might replace Farve in the end. On who I actually think is better than whom top ten, maybe top five but not closer to the best than that. Right now I'd take Brady over Manning and if the NFL started over and I had the first pick I'd take Rogers or if not and Big Ben was there I'd take him before Manning. I know, everyone thinks he's the cat's meow but I don't. Don't get me wrong, he is a great QB and top shelf at that. I just don't think he's the best ever.

Mine starts with Johnny U...

I think any QB that calls their game in this day and age goes on top..  I am not saying he is my favorite but on the tops..  As usual, it never is an agreeable choice..

Right now, Rodgers is the best QB in the NFL..

My #1 (if you include pre-1970) is Automatic Otto Graham. Johny U would by T2 with Montana.

Otto-matic: in his ten season career (4 AAFC and 6 NFL): 105-17-4 (84%), 10 championship games, 7 championships. QB rating of 86, decent by today's standards but we're talking the 1950s when all the passing and rushing the passer rules favored the defense. I think his 9 yrds/att are still tops for a career. Add to that his rushing totals (including 44 TDs) and by golly he’s my guy.

A QB comes even close to that today he'd be considered not just the greatest QB but football player, heck athlete ever.

Hate to say I told ya so, but Carroll is a fan of the West Coast Offense as well as innovative pass offenses.. He ran it at USC. He is a defensive guy..

Now the interesting thing will be the run blocking scheme that they use..  Carroll brought in Alex Gibbs last year to put in the zone blocking scheme but Cable is a man on man scheme type guy..

NFC Championship: Packers at Bears

Posted 1/22/2011 2:40:00 PM

Bears–Packers rivalry

The rivalry began in 1921[1] and is the league's longest rivalry, with 181 regular-season and post-season games.

The monsters of the midway against the cheeseheads from wisconsin. I don't really like either of these teams but the fans from the two cities really don't like each other.

Bears Vs Packers

I think the Bears can pull this one out against arguably the hottest team in the NFL right now in the Packers. I'm looking forward to a good game.

He is 4 years younger than Matt...

I have to admit I do like Palmer, been a fan since his USC days.
