I've always thought his dad was the best running back ever. I can see his dad may have some serious competition for that title in the future.

Whoa! He makes everybody else look like they are jogging. He talks like he is thirty something. I like that he doesn't seem arrogant at all.

He looked like a good back but he isn't his dad. Berry made more people miss losing three yards. Not dissing on him and again he looks like a great high school back but isn't as low or as quick as his dad.
Now Berry was the most exciting back I've ever seen and as far as greatness he's one of the few that don't pale in comparison to Jim Brown. However, the best back I've ever seen was Bo. Hated the Raider and wasn't a Jackson fan...but...but man had decided to play football instead of making it a hobby and not been injured...
Remember these highlights were compiled for a part time hobbyist who only played as a backup in 38 games and only had 515 career carries. Just think if he were full time with 25 carries for 16 games/season.

He's my all time favorite NFL player. My Dad took me to the Kingdome the only time he ever played in Seattle. I stayed after in the freezing cold to meet him. He shook my hand, and told me stay in school. I followed him onto the player's bus trying to get an autograph and although he wouldn't sign and I got kicked off the bus, he was very polite and gracious to a young boy.
Jr. seems to have inherited his father's best trait, great feet. Barry had the best feet in the history of the NFL, bar none.

Great story mwp. He could have been under contract about when and where he could sign autographs. I like to think so, especially after the great lengths a certain young poindexter went to.
I can see it now; taped up glasses, baggy pants, calculator and slide rule in one hand, football and pen in the other hand, following his idol into the bus to get that autograph. That's awesome!
Young mwpfan calculating the moves to get Barry's autograph.

Oh no no no. This was me just after the game. Perhaps Barry was intimidated because I was so dapper.

No mwpfan1, PB got it right. That is you. The Chess pieces in the picture gave it away. I wasn't too sure at first but then I remembered you were on the Chess Club. Didn't you take home the "Big" trophy at the Onalaska Invitational Chess Tournament in 1987?

You got me. Checkmate. You remember your mid-to-late '80s correctly. My folks signed me up for the Onalaska chess club. I won a tourney there and one somewhere on the Eastside. Beauty, brains, and brawn. That was the story of my adolescence.
