West side teams play at a severe disadvantage in Spokane.  After breathing western air, the poor kids not only develop a tolerance to mold spores in the air, they actually become dependent upon them.  The lower humidity and relative absence of mildew (unofficial Washington state flower) on the east side work to make breathing more difficult for them.  That and the strange yellow shining object in the daytime sky which is seen only rarely on the west side.

When GOD brings down the hammer and floods the earth one more time, WE AMPHIBIANS on the WESTSIDE will be the only ones to survive.  WE"VE had thousands of years to develop the ability to also breathe thru our skin when needed or did you eastsiders not learn this in Bio class.   Mold, smuts and mildew have been around for Eons, better start developing a taste for it.  It maybe the only food available & its cheap, grows on everything over here on the coast.  Why do  you think WSU is so worried about your wheat crops.  You are under attack from us Westsiders and most of you don't even know it.   WSU has to keep humping, we give them no time for vacation, constant relentless pressure, 24/7.     Here is our short list of things we send over the hill on the wind.  We get the fresh air you get what we exahale -- better start respecting us Coasties.

Now this is some good stuff!

I was born and raised on the west side, so I developed an immunity of sorts.  I tested it out when we played LaSalle in their mirky gym with its distinctive patina of mildew.  I survived, as did all the dairymen/orchardists in Sunnyside, largely due to our affiliations with west side family, as well as the delicate combination of insecticide and fertilizer in the air here, which, by the way, seems to grow some pretty tall kids who, for the most part, stay out of jail, and have a knack for throwing a ball through a metal hoop.

The Westside is down river and those down river shouldn't be joking about up river folk's pumbing... if you know what I mean... Now take a deep long osmosis drink and good luck at State.

BTW; IF God favored the Westside then why did he give you Honcho?

Yes Rusty, the smell of insecticide in the morning, smells like....smells like when I would spend  a spring weekend with grandma and grandpa out in Tieton. I'll date myself here but I remember when to heat the orchards they would stack up old tires, pour diesel on them and fire it up.

During replication, there are occasionally errors made in the insertion of the complementary bases in the new DNA strand. Usually these are repaired by special DNA polymerases, but a few remain (increasing in frequency with the increasing age of the organism). These errors in the DNA may or may not have an effect on the functioning of the cell lines in which they then appear. Errors or alterations in the base sequence of DNA are called mutations.   And we give you HONCHO.  He has made many trips over the mt. to screw with your GENE POOL.

Well, here's the deal with Honcho's Eastside sex tourism travels it increases the disease resistance of our livestock, of course there are some mutations that are not allowed to breed.

Where when he's at home in the wetside ooze he spawns freely with the local population and that boys and girls is how we get Husky Sorority pledges.

Or as Honcho's love interest would put it....

So in short; Honcho's offspring on the Westside:

Honcho's offspring on the Eastside:

Now Honcho has stayed west of Connell since Whitman County put up these anti-Westsider signs:

Ummm, that's called "Snow", it's like soft frozen rain. It's the same stuff that has the Westside all curled up shivering a'feard to go out the door because of crazed snowmen.

And BTW, will someone tell UltraMag when I said to go outside and play snow angle if he was bored this isn't what I meant...

Honcho was  confussed by this sign on the West side of Steptoe Butte.
