I don't have a school here this year so I enjoyed watching everyone play.  I have to say I really enjoyed the White Swan game last night and the way they play.  I do think the refs let them play more than usual (which was actually more fun), but I was really impressed with both teams and the way they played.  White Swan has a great ferocious defense and Darrington way to stick around.  Anyway The 2B games were great.  What did you enjoy?

Brewster should be right there as well. LR is another that can make some noise.

Congrats to Reardan on their title run, & Congrats to the Bears on  their 4th place finish.  I see these two teams butting heads next year at state.  Doing a little a little research I discovered Reardan placed 4th last season with that young team & kinda mirrors Brewster's finish this season.  Next year will tell the story of who has spend more time in the gym.  I know the Brewster kids are gym rats, can the same be said for the Reardan girls?  If so we will have some dynamite games in the future.

Has there ever been a "B" girl throw one down? And who was the tallest "B" girl you can remember playing?

Yeah, Reardan will be fun to watch...that Moos kid, as you call her, will have two "little" friends with her for two more years...Burg at 6'1" (so far) and a freshman, Nix, at 6'0" (so far).   On another thread someone wondered what we're feeding them over here on the eastside, well, it's wheat, boys, wheat!!

Love your enthusiasm noballbrain!  Sophomore Burge is pushing 6'2" now and the desire and attitude to keep working hard to get better...she will not be a surprise to anyone.  The following may be...  6' sophomore post Brianna Nix has great shooting touch and a knack to score.  Work hard over the months ahead and a real asset to the team.  Sophomore Charlene Gray will surprise people next season.  Fast with good size at 5'8" and will be a very good defender by next season and a threat from the arc.  Two seniors graduate.

I have to say, after stressing thru this post-season, I am happy to relax and try not to overthink next year.  But I know this summer, when they start playing again, I'll be there screaming...and my stomach will start tightening up.  Ugh!  BUT!  It'll all be worth it when Reardan takes home the Gold Ball again!

When the Wishkah girls won the State B Tournament, Sissel Pierce was like 6'4' and started for Oregon State for three years.
In 1978 Both the Bickleton Boys and Girls teams were in Spokane. They had twins on their teams named Brown. One boy and one girl. Cannot recall their first names I do remember the boy being around 6'8" and the girl close to 6'4' Both were Good Ball Players.
Coach Stinson's book that is coming out will help my memory for sure.

leeb66, I'd buy a ticket for that one too. The only problem is it will happen early in the season. I'd really like to see Freeman and Reardan late season with something on the line. When the Scotties and Colfax used to battle in the NEA the late season games were so intense, nothing left but some skin on the court. Head to head league, districts and State, the best rivalry pound for pound in the state between two of the three top 1A programs.  Between them they won 7 out of the last 9 1A championships. No offense to Reardan or Brewster but I’m still not sure I’ve seen a more athletic small school team than the 2005 Scotties that Colfax managed to get by in the 1A championship game after going 0-4 against them during the season with three of those game not close at all. Anyway, I’ve got a soft spot for Freeman as they were a big part of making Colfax the program they became, as I think Reardan will now in the Bi-County.

Heck, maybe the count and population drift will bring the Scotties back down to 2B and we can have a bi-county three way!

Colton was fun to watch. I know this is the 2B thread, but the Moser girls (especially the froshman) was good.

Was Reardan fun to watch?  We enjoyed, and were frustrated, watching Demi Sahlinger play.  The sophomore is a keeper and tough to stop!

The Napavine/Reardan game was interesting. Reardan was bigger and Napavine didn't do a very good job of blocking out. The difference in the game was rebounding, and Reardan got a lot of put backs.

This is why I thought Toutle could beat Reardan. Lake Roosevelt was a better team than Toutle, but Toutle beat them with guts. Toutle did an awesome job of getting loose balls and rebounds and they hit their free throws.

The championship game was really fun to watch, but #10 from Reardan just wreaked havoc at defending the point. The player I really like watching from Toutle was #50. She did an excellent job of blocking out and rebounding. #21 Hoff just had an off week it looked like. She played really good defense and did a lot for her team, but had trouble putting the round ball in the hoop.

I still think Colton could beat any 2B girls team though. I was surprised to see that Almira-Coulee-Hartline beat Reardan in the regular season. Those two 1B teams were really good.

Reardan was very fun to watch.  They looked like a completely different team then we got to see in Wenatchee when my Bears took them down.  I noticed quite a few changes they made in personel & where they were positioned on the floor.  A few of us locals were talking consipracy theroy wondering if they played to lose in Wenatchee to position themselves better in the state bracket.  The Moos girl looked much healthier in Spokane then she did in Wenatchee as well.  Looking at the stats on cyber sports for the tourney, as a team Reardan shot an unbelievable % from the floor, and out rebounded teams by a large margin.  A good group of ladies with a ton coming back they have to be the favorites next year with Brewster & Lake Roosevelt hot on their heals.
