Tough year for the west side schools.  No west side team made the finals in either 1b or 2b boys or girls.  What west side 2B boys team brings back enough talent to change this next year.

For the 2B's, I wouldn't say it was a tough year necessarily.  Watching all the games, Colfax and NWC were the two best teams, but for the C2BL to come away with the 3rd, 4th, and 5th place trophies was a pretty good showing for one league I'd say.

Does it really matter? After all isn't basketball simply a placeholder until baseball season starts?

I thought I read somewhere that the Adna/NWC game was the state championship?

The girls side might  be tough for the West, and by west  we  know you mean  D4, with Reardan returning most of their  pieces but on the boy's side the East graduates a lot of talent so next year might be D4... I mean the westside's year. Weren't quite a few of  those Toutle boys returning?

Toutle doesn't rebuild, they just reload :)   I'm sure NWC-C will be up there again but the boys side could be a real toss up next year

Toutle graduates 7 of 10 on varsity.  Only 2 juniors and 1 soph on varsity.  They will have an abundance of guards but nobody real tall to play forward next year.  The 3 non seniors got good playing time during the season and at the state tourney.   Those 3 will be a pretty good base for Swanny to build on.  By the way, congrats Ducks on beating Adna for third.  I know I loved it:)

Next years boys side could really be a toss up.  One change for the east side next year is that D7 and D9 will have a "sub-regionals" next year to combine berths to regionals (5 I believe), so that could help either league get more teams than the 2 each got this year.  Just look at what the 2 from D7 did this year that got out of districts.  Also D5/6 is dropping from 14 teams this year to 8 I believe next year.  Favorites out of there may be White Swan, RC, Oroville, others???  D7 favorites look to be NWC as always even losing who they are this year, Colfax with Gfeller still, along with LRS and St.Georges joining them with both having several returning starters back and strong young classes.  Davenport may challenge as well and who knows what kind of transfers Reardan may bring in when they could be down and Liberty getting better with young kids as well.  Not sure who looks to be the fav down in D9 as I think Dayton and WP lost some solid seniors and not sure after that?

Napavine returns everyone, even the seniors. I think all 4 browns will be making cameos.

Who will win District 1/2 (Bi District) next season?  Will it be Bear Creek again?

"Napavine returns everyone, even the seniors" HAHAHA!

I think Colfax still has to be the favorite for the 2B Boys.

 KW,

Bear Creek will still be the favorite.  They have only lost one league game in 5 years.   They return Blankenbeckler, Feight and Luenburger.  They also have a good bench and deep jv squad.  They lose there two bigs in domas and fernandez.

Leschi loses a lot.  If I remember correclty they lose bisson, castillo. rideout and amahad.  The do return Ingraham and a group of good perimiter shooters.

Seattle Lutheran loses J Webb and N Savas.  Which is two of there top three scorers.  They return Morgan, Nigeon and have a good sophmore class waiting in the wings.

Tacoma Baptist returns its top three scorers in Pascua, Wintersole and Stoehr but loses Peterson.  Should be this groups best year in a while.

Crosspoint.  KW you know more about this group.

Evergreen and Rainier Christian are going 1B.

RHS 91... Colfax will still be good and with Gfeller they will always have a shot.  I don't know if you could list them as favorites though as they lost 4 senior starters and their jv was down this year for them.  Time will tell, but there should be at least 4 pretty strong D7 teams next year challenging each other.

MWP should be decent in Central B.  They return one junior, a quick group of 4 talented sophmores from this year plus two more sophs that were injured during football season and did not play this past season.  Their jv team had a core of 5 quality freshmen that lost only a couple games  and they had an 8th grade team that went 9-1.

The Menlo Men (and Women) should be OK...everyone's back  Plus the JV boys only lost one or two games
