Outstanding hurdler in both 100 and 300's, state leader in both by a significant margin. The 200m is lead by Becca Macdonald of TBS (26.56a) and she shares 2nd best with Hannah Borden of Raymond at 26.84c, Grace Garguile of Cross Point is close behind at 26.88a.

Yes it will be a fast field and then theres the anticipation of who appears around the corner first since the stands block your view of the curve. Team wise I think Pe Ell and RCS girls are the top contenders. Lets hope for good weather

The top 5 places for District 4 will be representing the top 4 places in State this year plus the #7:
1.
Alissa Brooks-Johnson 15.01 11 Pe Ell
2. Hannah Borden 15.41 12 Raymond
3. Sami Robison 15.91 11 Pe Ell
4. Kristen Lazelle 16.06 12 South Bend
5. Allison Sowers 16.67
12 NWC-Lacey
Ally qualified by beating the State standard which I believe is last year's 3rd place at State. Which was her at 16.74.

Honestly I think Pe Ell, NWCL and Asotin are the teams to watch. Our frosh javelin thrower did throw 130-8, the top frosh mork in the country this year. That was very cool. State will be fun!

Allison didn't run the 100 hurdles at district. She is instead going for the insane 400 - 300 hurdles double. Chloe Werner from North Beach got the state minimum standard at district. If Sowers had run at district, D4 probably would have had 6 girls at state in the event. I believe the minimum standard this year was 16.78 (average 3rd place time the past 3 years). Werner ran 16.75 at district. I'm sure Sowers would have been under that time as well.

The Pe Ell dynamic duo has done it again. And this one was a nail biter. Sami Jo and Alissa are great athletes and great kids. Cograts to both and to coach Karen Brooks. Northwest Christian, Tacoma Baptist, Asotin and Colfax: awesome teams too. On the boys' side it was a ridiculous battle for the top 4 spots. Three points separating the top 4 teams? Are you kidding? Nothing was determined until the last 50 meters of the 4 x 400. Davenport and your hurdlers, LaConner and the "James Gang", Waitsburg-Prescott and your across-the-board diversity...you guys are awesome. If being at the 1B-2B-1A state track meet doesn't restore your faith in humanity, nothing will. Thousands of wonderful kids and families together, getting along, making friends in a healthy setting. There isn't anything else like it. If we could only get some good weather...!
