Boone shot a 78 on Tuesday and an 85 on Wednesday to finish at 163 for the two-day event and win his second-straight district championship. The Pirate will return to the State 1B/2B Boys Golf Tournament, in which he placed 15th last year, as one of 18 entries from District IV.
King's Way unseated Wahkiakum as district champion, but four Mules still advanced to state following the final day of the Southwest 1A District boys golf tournament Wednesday at The Highlands in Cosmopolis, Wash.
Wahkiakum's Austin Good was runner-up to Adna's Riley Boone and will join teammates Zach Calvert, Bradley Peek and Bubba Calvert at the Class 2B state tournament May 22-23 at Oakbrook Golf and Country Club in Lakewood.
King's Way tallied 699 team strokes to hold off the Mules (731), who won district titles from 2007-09 and again in 2011.
Boone claimed the district title with a 163. Good shot 168, Zach Calvert 174, Peek 178 and Bubba Calvert 183.
Wahkiakum's Brysen Coleman (195) and Elliot Haney (211) missed the state cut of 189.
Nine Willapa Harbor golfers bound for state

Nine Willapa Harbor golfers earned state berths as the District IV Class B boys and girls golf
tournaments concluded Wednesday at Highland Golf Course in Cosmopolis.
Willapa Valley’s Kaitlyn Nissell finished third in the girls tourney with a 36-hole total of 213. Valley’s Emily
Fluke and Lexi Mittge, Raymond’s Amanda Koski and South Bend’s Emma Lorton also advanced to
state Tuesday and Wednesday at the Oakbrook Golf and Country Club in Lacey.
South Bend’s Jesse Eastham topped the Twin Harbors male contingent, tying for seventh with a 174
total. He’ll be joined at state by South Bend teammate Zak McDougall and Willapa Valley’s Connor and
Cameron McAllister.
The top 18 boys and top 10 girls advanced.
Cameron McAllister survived a sudden-death playoff with South Bend’s Sam Lorton and Northwest
Christian’s Jonah Dillingham to earn the last state boys berth.
McAllister drained a 12-footer on the first playoff hole to match Dillingham, while Lorton was eliminated.
McAllister won the playoff on the second hole, making an eight-foot putt while Dillingham missed from
five feet.
“Overall, I was very happy with the progress the kids made on the second day,” Willapa Harbor coach
Dave Lund said.
Adna’s Riley Boone won the boys individual title with a 163 total. King’s Way Christian’s Tiffany Hansen
captured the girls title with a 198 total.
King’s Way’s boys and Northwest Christian’s girls took team honors.
