I just did a tally of schools producing champions since the A's and B's split up in 2007.
Republic with 18
Kittitas with 14
Reardan with 9
Pomeroy with 6
Warden with 5 (2011-2012)
Almira-Coulee-Hartline with 4
Liberty Bell with 4
Mary Walker with 4
Oroville with 2
Wahkiakum with 2
Concrete with 2
Tulalip-Hertage, Darrington, Liberty, Ocosta, Raymond, Wilbur-Creston-Keller, Lake Roosevelt, Ritzville-Linden, Dayton, Tacoma Baptist, South Bend, Pateros all with 1.

East side: 72 Champions
West side: 10 Champions
Kind of interesting....

Pomeroy has crowned 8 State Champions once WIAA created the 1B/2B State classification

Jesse Tennant-Boyd
Kent Jenkins
2X Klyntin Bott
Tye Knebel
Scott Wolf
2X Tory Knebel

No...they were in the 1B/2B classification...I am  personally involved with the Pomeroy wrestling program...I know more data regarding this team than one should know...as my wife states..."you are full of useless information"...I can tell you who wrestled who, where it took place, the score, etc.

 I can confirm Jenkins as a B champion. He whooped my butt on several occassions in 2007. Did almost pin him once. T'was one of my sophomore year highlights .

So, as an outsider to the sport of wrestling, and also someone not from the State of Washington, why is there such a difference between the east and west sides??

My health is good...I think...I apologize for my absence on this forum...Pomeroy HS went through an entire Modernization...I recently found out via our IT people that ALL of my SENT emails, etc...went into cyber space...therefore, apparently NOTHING went to this forum...I was shocked that no one responded to my info that I posted...I was extremely excited to compile the Rankings...when one receives NO responses...one determines their info is not needed...therefore, I went hunting...AND...my wife and I are now empty nesters...

FootballKing:...I graduated from Mt. Baker HS in 1983...I can remember traveling to Big Bend CC for State wrestling...Connell, Warden, Cashmere, etc...took many West Side wrestlers down...especially on their feet...due to my loyalty to the West Side...will not discuss the difference... we have raised our boys on the East Side...they have won 6 State Titles...3 in Wrestling...the ingredients to the East Side success in my opinion is quite simple...

Yes, Very good to see you BCBEAR. I apologize for the two champions I missed. Very nice for a small school. Getting good talentout of your school. The Dude is absolutely correct. The east  knows how to score a lot of points and pins a lot of their opponents.
