Ronald Page must have thought it was his lucky day when the ATM at a Detroit casino kept dispensing cash, even though he only had a few hundred dollars in his account. Sensibly, the retired auto worker embarked on a gambling spree with his unlimited funds and will now face a federal judge. At various Detroit casinos, Page withdrew $312,000, $103,000 and $514,000, with Bank of America none the wiser. The bank finally put a stop on his account after 15 days of unlimited withdrawals, by which time Page had gambled away $1.5 million, his luck obviously not extending to the casino floor.
