Cross Country

   Stanwood Boys team was third behind Glacier Peak and Edmonds. Stanwood was led by Michael Sunquist and West Weinert.

 

  The Stanwood girls were third also behind Glacier Peak and Edmonds. The Stanwood Girls were led by Ella Conway and Caroline Dolan.

 

The next cross country meet will be next Thursday in Oak Harbor at  3:45

 

Volleyball

    The Stanwood Volleyball girls lost 3-1 Monday to Shorewood at home.

Then Spartan girls rallied back on the road Thursday to win 3-0 against the Mountlake Terrace Hawks. Stanwood 28-26, 25-13, 25 -21.

Krista Titus led the defense with 16 digs. Kitt Cambell had 19 assists and Macaela Hanson sparked the Spartan offense with 6 aces. She also contributed 13 digs.

Stanwood is now 1-2 in league play and 3-2 overall.

 

Boys Tennis

 The Spartan boys Tennis team came away with two shut outs  this week. Defeating Oak Harbor 7-0 on Wednesday,  and Marysville Getchell 7-0 on Thursday.  Stanwood  got single wins on Wednesday from  Michael Wolf, Henry Jennings, Nathaniel Haskin and Steve Sanders.

In Doubles The Spartan’s got wins from the teams of   Peyton Headrick & Bryson Kelly, Sam Bickford & Pawel Beanarczuk, and Noah Lairenberger & Colin Cuchna

 The Tennis team plays next Tuesday at home against Marysville Pilchuck at 3:30pm. The Spartans then play on the road Thursday against the Arlington Eagles at 3:30pm

The Spartans Tennis Team is 4-0 in League play and 7-1 overall.

 

Girls Soccer

 The Stanwood Soccer Team came away with Two shut out  wins this week, defeating Marysville Pilchuck 1-0 on Tuesday. Then the Spartans took care of The Lynnwood Royals 2-0 on Thursday.

 

The Spartans will play on the road on Monday in Everett to take on the Everett Seagulls, Game time at 7pm.

 

Then the Spartan Girls will take on the Arlington Eagles Wednesday at home. That game will be broadcast on Tcsn Sports. Com pregame at 6:15, kickoff at 6:30

 

Girls Swimming

 

The Spartan Girls Swimming team came away with two wins this week, 1st  defeating Everett 111-65 on Tuesday. On Thursday  the Spartans defeated   Mountlake Terrace 127-37. It was a good meet for the Spartan girls. The team of Abby Spencer, Tori Hammer, Karli Rimat, and Cristina Escobar won the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay. The Spartans got individual wins from Karlie Rimat, Genevieve Worley, Katie Hammer, and Cristina Escobar.

The Spartans are 4-2 this season.

Their next meet is Tuesday against Edmonds Woodway in Lynnwood.
