PORTLAND OREGON, Pacific Northwest - INAUGURAL CLASH OF THE CLASSES TAKES PLACE
SATURDAY OCTOBER 11th, 2008
AT LEWIS & CLARK COLLEGE

Courtside Entertainment teams up with Pacific Northwest Broadcasting (PNWB.NET) to bring the best of Oregon and Washington together for the Ultimate All-American Experience.

For years, the hotbeds for prep basketball existed in urban areas such as New York, Chicago, and Los
Angeles. But as high school hoops has risen to mainstream consciousness, other parts of the country have
emerged as must-visit areas for college coaches, recruiters, and hardcore fans, and the Pacific Northwest
has unquestionably become one of the regions stacked with elite talent.

The first-ever Clash of the Classes ,which takes place on Saturday, October 11, at Lewis & Clark
College– will feature the best players from the high school and middle school ranks from Oregon and
Washington in two action-packed all-star games pitting the two states against one another. The action
heats up first with the Elite Youth Clash of the Classes game with the top rising seventh and eighth
graders and the evening will conclude with the Elite High School Clash of the Classes contest with some
of the nation’s elite prep ballers.

The talent that will be on hand will be fierce; especially on the high school level. On the Oregon All-
American team, Arizona-bound Mike Moser from Portland’s Grant High School has established himself as
one of the top players in the Class of 2009 nationally and Lake Oswego High School rising senior Max
Jacobsen isn’t far behind. Terrence Jones of Portland’s Jefferson High School and Stephen Holt of Jesuit
High School, both rank among the top prospects nationally in the Class of 2010. Others such as rising
juniors Garrett Jackson (Westview) and Jordan Railley (Beaverton) and rising sophomore Kyle Wiltjer
(Jesuit) already hold Division I scholarship offers as well. Add in Century sharpshooter Cameron
McCaffery and wingmen Cody Hickey and freshman phenom Jordan Tebbutt and Team Oregon head
coach Canaan Chatman will unquestionably be prepared for victory.

Team Oregon can’t look past the Washington All-American team however, as their roster is stacked to the
hilt. In the backcourt alone, rising seniors Abdul Gaddy and Avery Bradley out of Tacoma both rank as
the top guards at their position on the West Coast and nationally and fellow rising seniors Peyton Siva
(Seattle Franklin) and Aaron Dotson (Seattle Rainier Beach) are right there as well. Class of 2010 stud
Josh Smith (Kentwood) will man the post and will be surrounded by lanky forwards Cole Dickerson
(Tacoma) and Washington State- bound Patrick Simon (Ephrata). Arguably the top player in the country
in the Class of 2011, Tony Wroten, Jr. will also be in the gym as Team Washington head coach Jim Marsh
will have incredible depth from top to bottom on his team.

The Elite Youth Clash of the Classes game will give a preview of what’s to come on the scene in future
years as well. The nation’s top eighth grader, Nigel Williams-Goss of Happy Valley, leads the way for
Oregon while others such as Frank Norman (Team Jones), Austin Dyer (Portland Hoop Kings), Khan
Hosey (ICP Portland), Kameron Chatman (ICP Portland), and Kadeem Strickland (ICP Portland) will also
strut their stuff. Washington will pose heady point men Arell Hennings (Seattle Rotary Style) and Will
Dorsey Jr. (ICP Portland) along with #1 seventh grade shooting guard, Alonzo Trier (Seattle Rotary Style)
to what should prove to be an extremely competitive contest between the two regional squads.
