ROSEMOUNT, MN - The Rosemount Irish claimed their first conference football title with a dominating 40-7 win over the Eastview Lightning in each team's regular season finale. The Irish scored quickly, driving 20 yards after an Eastview turnover, to take a 6-0 lead on Andy Malicki's first touchdown run.

The Irish running game kept them in command in the first half, with a run from Chase Vogler and another from Malicki upping the lead to 20-0 at halftime, setting up the passing plays that sealed it for Rosemount in the third quarter.

After the break, the Irish went to the air and scored on 72 and 45 yard passes from Vogler to Zachary Vraa that upped the lead to 33-0 and Rosemount was on its way to a conference co-championship.

Andy Malicki earned MSBN Player of the Game honors for Rosemount (7-1; 7-0) while Andre Hunt, who accounted for Eastview's points with a late 43-yard touchdown run, earned the honor for the Lightning (5-3; 5-3).
