COTTAGE GROVE, Minnesota - Turnovers are the key to any football game and as that statement reads it definitly held true tonight. It was a tale of two halves as three turnovers led to a 16-14 halftime lead for the Park of Cottage Groove Wolfpack. But two late turnovers deep in thier own territory in the fourth quarter spark a late Forest Lake serge lead by Quarterback Zach Reideman.
For the Wolfpack the game plan was simple control the clock, stop the run and keep the Ranger offense on the sidelines. Lead by Chris Nimley thats exactly what the Wolfpack did first by answering an opening drive touchdown with long 59 yd reception by Nimley for a score of there own to make it 8-7. Then Squib kicking the ball and recovering deep in Ranger territory the wolfpack go up 10 to 8 and then add another touchdown to make it 16-8 with all the momentum on there side. But a late drive by the rangers and some poor clock management deep in Ranger territory has this game at Halftime close 16-14.
The second half was a whole different game for the Rangers both teams put together two long scoring drives in the third quarter of over 5 min each and going into the fourth it was close with a 22-22 all ball game. Then came the Zach Reideman show. On 2 consecutive turnovers the Rangers capitilized on the shoulders of there leader Riedeman who scored from 10 yards and 30 yards out to give the Rangers a 38-22 Victory.
