Centennial dominates early but late turnovers comeback to haunt as Brainard Storms back

ST. CLOUD, Minnesota - The Centennial Cougars came into this game heavily favored and showed it early flexing there muscles on two nice drives in the first half. But they missed 2 key extra points and went into half time 12-7 as Brainard who really looked outmatched in the first half with only one really nice scoring drive and 2 fumbles. The Tailback for The warriors had a 4 yd touchdown carry to give the warriors there only score of the first half.

Coming out of halftime Cenntennial had the ball first and muscled there way down the field for a touchdown Chris Anderson to Mike Gollis and the Cougars converted a 2 pt converson to put themselves up 20-7, but Brainard answered that drive with great drive of there own to make it 20-14 on a one yard carry from there QB Mimic. The fourth quarter was really entertaining Cougar QB Chris Anderson Exploded for a 67 yard touchdown run to put the cougars up 28-14 but with 6:25 to go in the fourth quarter the warrior defense took over with and interception in cougar territor and then recovering a Chris Anderson fumble deep in Cougar territory on a fourth down punt. And with Under 25 seconds the Warrior offense scored to take this game in to overtime. In overtime the warrior defense picked off Chris Anderson in the end zone on 3rd and Goal and then on the very first play ran in a 10 yd touchdown run to seal the game. Final Score 34-28 Brainard wins a nail bitter over the heavily favored Centennial Cougars.
