SUWANNE, GA - The #14 ranked team in the USA Today Super 25 won 38-0 in what still is leaving many clueless across the nation. North Gwinnett laid the wood to the Norcross Blue Devils, handing the Blue Devils their first shutout in 7 seasons.

CJ Uzomah, the heralded Auburn-bound athlete, finished 7-8 81yds 1TD passing, 2 catches 20yds 1TD and 52yds rushing. RB Joe Jones threw the TD pass to Cj Uzomah off of a reverse to put North Gwinnett up 21-0 in the 1st quarter to essentially put the game away. In addition to his TD paas, Joe Jones finished with 52yd rushing 1TD.

Norcross' offense was stifled all night by a North Gwinnett defense led by DL Jordan Washington, who finished with 2 sacks and 3 tackles for loss. Norcross' leading rusher Kendrix Huitt received his first college offer earlier in the week from UAB but was held to 11 yards on 11 carries. North Gwinnett held Norcross to 5 first downs and 75 total yards of offense (30 in the 1st Half).

By way of Collins Hill defeating #3 Peachtree Ridge 14-10, North Gwinnett is in sole possession of 1st place in Region 7-5A. Outside of #2C amden County and underrated #4 McEachern, nobody seems to be in the same league as North Gwinnett. No disrespect to #5 Lowndes and #8 Valdosta but neither of them are in the same league as Camden or North Gwinnett. Lowndes came from behind to defeat Valdosta 24-17 on Friday night.
