THE NFL PRE-DRAFT PARTY with Former Dallas Cowboy Walt Garrison

With the NFL Lockout still in place, the NFL DRAFT will have some interesting twist and turns for both owners and for the league.

The Pre-Draft Party, on April 16th, 2011 at the Tailgate Tavern-- directly across the street from Cowboys Stadium, will have former Dallas Cowboy great Walt Garrison hosting a radio show with long time Dallas/Ft Worth radio personality Dave Michaels, along the North Texas Sports Network (www.davradioproductions.com) talking about how the Draft worked in his playing days, and what it took Tex Schramm to sign Garrison to a contract with the Cowboys.
The stories won't stop with NFL talk, as Walt Garrison is also known world wide for his connection with U.S. Tobacco, and legendary phrase "Just a pinch between your cheek and gum..."

Garrison is a champion rodeo rider, and a rancher, along with one of the finest artist when it comes to whittling.
Along with all of his accolades, Garrison has branched into the food industry with his brand of Barbecue sauce, dipping sauce and rubs along with other products that are sold through his website, his influence for the most part, aside from his parents, he credits to Tom Landry, the only coach that Garrison knew when he played for the Cowboys in his 8 years wearing the blue and the silver. Garrison played in the famed Ice Bowl against the Green Bay Packers in December of 1967, he also played in two Super Bowls, (V and VI) winning a ring in New Orleans against the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl VI.
The former Lewisville Fightin' Farmer went to Oklahoma State before being drafted by the Cowboys in 1966 where he joined first round draft pick John Niland as a rookie for the Cowboys.

Radio Personality Dave Michaels will host the radio broadcast through the internet, Michaels has been a broadcaster for the past 27 years, worked for legendary radio stations along the way, including KGBS 1190, KLUV 98.7, and KTCK the TICKET 1310, most recently Michaels was the news and sports director for KVCE AM 1160 in Dallas/Ft Worth, as well as having built his own production company known as Davradio Productions, and joined with the North Texas Sports Network.

Michaels also writes a blog as well as contributes to other radio shows across the country, with his insight and humor about sports as well as current events.
