In the 1st half the Panthers scored in all ways possible with a 21 yard field goal from Trey Heid, a 6 yard TD run by Brandon Morgan (extra point by Heid good), and a safety. On what was perhaps the Eagle's most impressive drive with strong runs on the right side by RB Dom McDew-Stauffer, the momentum was stopped with a fumble on the goal-line. Later in the half the Eagles got their 1st score on a 3 yard TD run by Matt Thomas (PAT failed) to bring the score to 19-6 Panthers. Towards the end of the 1st half, Lakeville North scored again off the right foot of Heid on a 36 yard FG to increase the Panther lead to 29-6. On the final play of the 1st half, a safety was scored with time expiring off the Lakeville North kickoff as the ball rolled under the returner for the Eagles. Halftime score 31-6 Lakeville North.

The 2nd half started well for the Panthers when on the opening drive Joel Oxton caught a 75 yard pass from Trey Heid to increase the lead to 38-6. Later in the 4th quarter with 9:35 on the clock, Apple Valley scored on a 23 yard TD pass from Matt Thomas to Mitch Hechsel (PAT good by Garrett Ganskie). 38-13 Lakeville North. Then as time was running out and substitutions were coming in, Lakeville backup QB Zach Creighton made the most of an opportunity and scored on a 40 yard run (PAT good by Heid) 45-13 Panthers. Not to be outdone, sophomore QB Tommy Singer threw a bomb from his own 42 yard line and connected with WR Dustin Fronk with time expired to bring the score 45-19 as a final with Lakeville North on top.
