Prior Lake gets second win of the season in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, Minnesota - Apple Valley started the night out right with a touchdown on the opening possession. They marched 69 yards and QB Tommy Singer found wideout Steve Wilson on a 30 yard TD connection. The point after was missed by Cheney. The next four scores, however, were all Laker touchdowns. RB Jack Johnson had 3 of them (4, 3 & 51 yard runs). The fourth touchdown came from Blake Weber who ran it in from 71 yards with 10:43 left in the 3rd Quarter (Tusa made 3 of 4 PA attempts).

27-6 Lakers in the Third.

The Eagles rallied after their defense recovered a fumble and capitalized with an 11 yard td run by Dom McDew-Stauffer (PA good by Cheney). 27-13 Lakers in the third.

Prior Lake then marched 64 yards with an answer and a 5 yard td run by Blake Weber (PA good by Tusa). 34-13 in the 4th.

The Eagles never gave up. They continued to press and scored the next 2 touchdowns both from McDew-Stauffer and closed the gap to 34-26 with 5:47 in the fourth.

Prior Lake forced Apple Valley to turn it over on downs and the end result was a victory for the Lakers.

Final Score - 34-26 Prior Lake over Apple Valley.
