STANWOOD, Northwest - The Stanwood Spartans came out fast in the 1st quarter in their game against the Ferndale Golden Eagles. The Spartans defense and a hot offense led the Spartans to a 21-4 1st quarter lead. The Spartans would hold on to get a 80-67 win over Ferndale. The Spartans were led in scoring by A.J. Martinka's 21 points,& Chase Streiby scored 19 points. Our NorthSound Physical Therapy Player of The Game Was Quinton Borseth, who scored 10 points and had several key rebounds and steals to help the Spartans seal the victory. The Spartans will play Saturday against the Glacier Peak Grizzlies for the Third and final spot for the state regional tournament.
