Who can use the Meridix TXT service?

The Meridix TXT service can be used by ANYONE, or ANY ORGANIZATION. Companies, schools, committees, clubs, government, student organizations, fraternities, sororities, sports teams, or anyone else. For example, a company could use group text messaging for a specific department or division. An alumni association could use the system to notify users of special announcements. An organization or city could use it as an emergency notification layer. A student club could notify its members of a meeting time or last-minute room change. Nearly any use is possible!

Do I have to keep track of who is subscribed to what list?

Not at all! Your users configure their own notification options, subscribe to their own notification lists, and can turn your text messages and emails on and off at any time. All you need to do is send out messages to the appropriate text message or email lists, and our system will automatically determine which recipients should recieve which messages.

How many TXT or emails can I send in a given month?

Unlimited - you can send out as many notifications as you wish. If your usage becomes excessive (in the tens of thousands of messages per month), we may increase your monthly fee slightly, but only the largest of sites need to do this. A vast majority of sites fall way below these limits, so you'll be fine!

What do you mean by the system being ad-free?

This means that none of the notifications that you send out carry any advertising from us. We do not insert any advertising text or images into any of your text messages or emails, giving you a much more professional look and feel. Of course, YOU can use your list to send out promotions or special offers to your users, but your notifications will not carry advertisements from us. We also do not insert any banners nor ads in your widgets.

Does this cost my recipients anything?

No, the service is FREE to your recipients. They do not have to pay anything when they sign up to recieve your alerts and customizations. Of course, some mobile phone carriers charge to recieve text messages, but that will vary from recipient to recipient. Most individuals have text messaging included with their phone plans.

What is a LiveID?

A LiveID is the name for your sender account on our network. A LiveID basically represents the sender website, individual, or organization.

What is a MeridixID?

A MeridixID is the name of the FREE recipient account. A MeridixID identity simply allows your users to login to your widget and configure their own notification options (and return to make changes at any time). If you have multiple LiveIDs or websites, this means that your users can also use the same MeridixID to customize notifications from several different organizations, and do NOT have to create and remember a separate login each time.

What types of customizations can I utilize with your service?

We allow you to customize the launch options via your website, as well as account colors and logos on your widget, so that it blends in perfectly with your existing online identity.

The service is ad-free, and that is great. How do you do it?

Because the system does not send out any advertising or spam, you pay a small monthly membership fee for your LiveID (sender) account. This allows you to send as many ad-free text messages and emails as you need, without any sort of intrusive advertising travelling along with it.
