| Sign up, get code. |
Copy code onto your website. |
Your users sign up for
alerts. |
You send messages as needed. |
Really, it is that simple. However, here is a little more of an in-depth look at the process...
Overview
Meridix TXT allows you to add a text messaging and email console to your website by simply adding a line of
code that we provide to you. You can use any image or button you would like, but whenever your users click on
it, a small widget will pop up where they can customize their text message and email notifications from you.
Your users can then return to your site (and launch the widget) whenever they need to add new notification options,
or change their current notification preferences, or if they need to turn text messaging or emails on or off.
The Process - Sender
As a sender, you would do the following. First, use the sign up link to
create what is called a "LiveID" account. A LiveID represents your identity on our network, whether it is your site,
your organization, etc. Once you have created a LiveID account, you will then login to the
LiveID Manager and begin customizing your notification lists (i.e. the notification lists your users subscribe to). For example, if you
have multiple committees or groups in your organization, you can create a notification list for each committee. The group text messaging
and email tools are independent, meaning that you can configure each service differently, with different lists and types configured for TXT
and email. When you are ready to send a message, either select TXT or email, type your message, select a notification list, and click
on "Send". With one click, our system will automatically determine the relevant recipients and send out the notifications for you, and you're done!
The Process - Recipient
The process is just as simple for your recipients. First, your recipients visit your website where you have placed
the code we gave you for your txt and email widget. Once they click on the link/button/image to launch the widget, they are prompted
to login. If it is the first time that they are enrolling in your notifications, they will be prompted to create a MeridixID, which
is a flexible identity that can be used on any LiveID account you own (thus if you have multiple websites or LiveIDs, your users will
not have to create an identity for each site - they can use the same one everywhere). Once the user logs in, they can immediately see
their account settings. By selecting to configure either their text messaging preferences or their email preferences, they can then
select the appropriate notification lists that they would like to be a part of (see a screenshot). Users can also turn their text message and email notifications
on and off at will, without losing any of their settings. They can also return to your widget at any time to make changes.
Customization
We know you've worked hard to build your brand and identity. That is why our tools offer you customization options so that you can offer the widgets
and notifications with your logos and your colors.
Technology
Meridix TXT uses the latest technology to send out TXT (SMS) notifications and emails to your users. Nearly all of the major mobile carriers are
supported, both in the US and internationally. We can add more carriers upon request. We also conform to the greatest number of email standards as possible to ensure your emails end up in recipient
inboxes instead of their spam folders.
