Easily collect certified results from around your league, conference, or state automatically.

One of the most common complaints in high school, amateur, and other sports programs is the inability to easily collect timely results from teams, including final scores and other information.

Subsequently, fans often must wait days or weeks to hear about their favorite teams, administrators have to track down results from coaches and staff, and the media must continuously prompt school or league officials for results.

Meridix EventReporter solves these problems by providing your league, conference, school, or state agency with a uniform reporting system which automatically notifies coaches and officials to report scores.  In addition, Meridix EventReporter automatically creates portals and posts scores and results online automatically.

And, since the Meridix EventReporter is a utility installed directly on as many computers as desired, no logging-in to special web pages is required.  Thus, coaches do not have to "remember" to login and report scores, because the system will automatically push reminders out to all designated reporters and collect results instantly on the user's desktop.

How It Works
Step One - Select Reporters

Teams select one or more "trusted reporters", who are individuals allowed to officially report on behalf of a team.  For example, a football team might want to set the head coach and his/her four assistant coaches (5 total people) as trusted reporters.

Because teams set their own trusted reporters, they control who reports for them.  Equally, trusted reporters can rely on the system to push them the correct event reports, and do not have to keep track of the events they are responsible for.  A single individual can also report on behalf of more than one team.

Step Two - Install

Trusted reporters download and install the Meridix EventReporter on as many computers as they wish.  The utility can be installed on home computers, office computers, laptops, or anywhere else a trusted reporter might want access to the system.

When installing for the first time, trusted reporters simply sign in with their credentials, which are then saved by the program for all future sessions.  This way, trusted reporters do not have to login each time they turn on their computer - the system will connect you automatically.

Step Three - Normal Use

Notifications will automatically appear and disappear based on the schedule for the team and the actions of the other reporters.  Remember, only one trusted reporter from each team needs to officially submit or certify the score or event result, eliminating redundancy.

You can also close any event reminders for later reporting by clicking on the "Ask Me Later" button.   Other program settings are also customizable, including the intervals between reminders, display settings for the summary screen (centered or in corner), and other settings.

Step Four - Automatic Updates

As trusted reporters report and certify events on behalf of their respective teams, our network automatically updates results pages, posts scores, updates tickers, and sends out text message alerts to fans.  In this manner, fans, parents, administrators, staff, and the media are immediately connected with the latest information, all without any extra user intervention.  No need to manually update results pages.

And, while all Meridix EventReporter customers receive customizable organization/team identities and online results areas, you can automatically syndicate information to your existing website through the use of our widgets.  See examples here.

Top 5 Reasons To Use Meridix EventReporter

1.  Workload is distributed - An unlimited number of individuals can be assigned as trusted reporters for a particular team, meaning the reporting responsibility can be delegated to more than one person.  Often, this also increases the speed at which events are reported.  In addition, a single person can be a trusted reporter for multiple teams and organizations.

2.  Redundancy is eliminated -  As soon as any one of the trusted reporters submits a report for an event, the system will consider the event "reported" and the event will disappear from the screens of all other reporters for that team.  This ensures that the event only needs to be reported once, and redundant work is eliminated.  Along the same lines, if your team has already reported, only one reporter on the opposing team needs to "certify" the result with one click, and does not have to type anything in.  This also works in reverse - the opposing team might report first and you certify the opposing team's report.  Your team can even be the only team to report, in the case that the opposing team is not signed up with Meridix EventReporter.

3.  Automatically post results - Meridix EventReporter automatically creates real-time portals and results pages so that fans can see scores and event results as soon as they happen.   Season and conference records are automatically calculated, results are archived and paired with any broadcasts of the games (see www.meridix.com/golive), and text message alerts automatically go out to fans and the media.  With Meridix EventReporter, there is no need to manually update team web pages with results information.

4.  Know who is reporting - While there is no login process to the Meridix EventReporter (the program automatically signs itself on), before any event report is submitted the user must type in their password.  This ensures that a random person with access to the computer cannot maliciously submit event reports, and also allows leagues, conferences, and state agencies to track who submitted an event, where, and at what time.

5.  Uses your existing schedule - Event reminders and reports are automatically generated based on your season schedule.  Teams do not have to manually create report reminders for each game, as the system will automatically generate these from the schedule you input at the beginning of the season.
