Eastview Gains Nearly 400 Yards of Offense in Shutout Win

APPLE VALLEY, Minnesota - Eastview racked up nearly 400 yards of offense, with more than 300 yards rushing, as the Lightning scored a shutout victory over crosstown rival Apple Valley by a final score of 35-0 on Saturday night.

Eastview scored on its initial drive of the game and never looked back, scoring 14 in the first quarter en route to a 14-0 halftime lead.

In the second half, it was all Lightning again, as they scored once in the third quarter and twice more in the fourth to advance to the Section 3AAAAA final vs. Rosemount on Friday, October 31, in a game that can be heard on MSBN. Eastview lost to Rosemount 40-7 in the final week of the regular season.

Andre Hunt rushed for 145 yards on 21 carries, as he was named MSBN player of the game for the Lightning. Marcus Wilson, Apple Valley defensive tackle, was also named player of the game for the Eagles.

With the win, Eastview now holds a record of 7-3, while Apple Valley finishes their season at 5-5.
