EAGAN, MN - The Lakeville North Panthers beat the Eagan Wildcats 29-14 behind the strong running of senior Dejon Newell. Newell rushed for 223 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.

Eagan started fast, Zach Zenner returned the opening kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown. Then, after holding the Panthers to a 3 and out, QB Jameson Parsons found TE Adam Carl for a 43 yard TD catch and run and a 14-0 lead.

However, it was all downhill from there. Parsons left the game with an injury late in the 1st quarter, and eventually Newell found his stride.

The Panthers play Lakeville South next week at home, while Eagan travels to Eastview.
