Lakeville North finishes the season 6-2

APPLE VALLEY, Minnesota - Apple Valley ends there four game streak without scoring any points as they score on the opening kickoff of the game. Steve Maxwell scored a 95 yard touchdown on the opening kickoff of the game and Apple Valley had the early 7-0. Lakeville North was able to tie it up in the first quarter, and it was a 7-7 after one quarter.

Second quarter Lakeville North defender Devon Knopke intercepted a Apple Valley pass and returned it for a 62 yard touchdown. It was Lakeville North with the lead at halftime 14-7.

Third quarter was a good perfomance by both defenses as they shut each other out, and it was still 14-7 Lakeville North with the lead after three quarters.

Fourth quarter Lakeville North put it away as Panther running back Dajon Newell ran in two fourth quarter touchdowns. Newell finished the game with 95 yards and two touchdowns, he also finished the season with over one-thousand yards rushing.

Lakeville North wins it 27-7 and they finish the season 6-2 while Apple Valley finishes 1-7.
