APPLE VALLEY, Minnesota - The Eastview Lightning eeked out a 15-12 victory on Senior Night at Lightning stadium, as Jay Fluegge nailed a 23-yard field goal with four seconds remaining to seal the victory.

Both teams had a hard time handling the football early, with Eagan turning the ball over twice in the first half, and Eastview once. Further, both teams struggled on special teams, as the teams combined to go 0-4 on extra point attempts.

Eastview scored a touchdown in the first quarter and another in the second for a 12-0 lead going into the half, but the Wildcats matched their efforts in the second half with touchdowns in the third and fourth quarter to tie the game.

In the waning minutes of the fourth quarter, Eastview was able to drive the field, setting themselves up for the victory and the game-winning field goal.

With the win, Eastview moves to 2-2 on the season, while Eagan falls to 0-4. Eastview stays at home next week, as they host Bloomington Jefferson, which can be seen on MSBN. Eagan heads home to host Rosemount next Friday night.
